Fred and his wife, Pat, have built their life in Ingersoll and are blessed with a blended family of five children and eight grandchildren. His deep roots in this community and his lifelong commitment to public service have shaped his dedication to the people of Ingersoll.

Fred served on Ingersoll Town Council for 19 years — three as a councillor and 16 as deputy mayor. He worked closely with residents, council colleagues, staff, and community partners to support responsible growth, strengthen local services, and help move important community projects forward. As a member of council, he was instrumental in creating the Fusion Youth Centre, the Ingersoll Safe Cycling Committee, and the Ingersoll Trails Committee. Over the years, he has served on more than two dozen boards and committees, including the Ingersoll Seniors Board, the Economic Development Committee, the Ingersoll Police Services Board, and the Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee.

Fred's dedication extends well beyond council duties. He has been an in-school mentor with Big Brothers for 24 years and a member of the Rotary Club of Ingersoll for 36 years, serving as president three times. He is currently in his 11th year as a board member with the Children's Aid Society of Oxford County, and recently received the Jack Ross Memorial Award in recognition of his lasting impact on children, youth, and families across Oxford County. Tina Diamond, the Society's CEO, described Fred's leadership as "defined not only by service, but by heart."

By trade, Fred has been a respected realtor for 40 years. His professional experience has given him a strong understanding of local growth, housing, neighbourhood development, and the importance of planning for Ingersoll's future. "I have a passion for working with people," he says, and it shows in everything he does.
